Through integration and close collaboration with our suppliers, we provide an effective and detailed traceability system giving customers full access to information about raw material, feeding history, farming location, quality analysis and much more. Traceability statements are available by request for every batch of salmon harvested at Nils Williksen.
Good quality requires good fish welfare at all stages. Nils Williksen has strict regulations for handling of live fish to make sure stress level during the process is minimal. The short distance from the farm to our production site, contributes to fish welfare and salmon quality.
Food safety is of vital importance throughout Nils Williksen. We operate a modern Quality Assurance System based on HACCP-principles. The system is built on requirements from customers and legislation of both Norwegian and foreign authorities. Each year, thousands of samples are taken at every stage of processing and are subjected to extensive testing.
